With over 15 aviation sites, our region relies on volunteers to help us promote, preserve, and educate the world about aviation heritage. If you are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities at our sites, please fill out the form below and your information will be passed on to the appropriate organization.
Please keep in mind volunteering is not automatic. Each organization will accept volunteers as they are needed and can be accommodated.
You may be interested in getting your hands dirty by volunteering, and this does not always mean riveting or fabricating parts (although it can!). It also means building displays, giving tours, and cleaning, among other things.
Champaign Aviation MuseumBecome a gallery monitor and interact with visitors first-hand, including many veterans who have very exciting and unique stories to share.
National Museum of the United States Air ForceEducate kids and adults alike with inspiring stories of STEM leaders.
National Aviation Hall of FameSupport STEM Education connected to aviation and aerospace while promoting the values of scholarship, leadership, and citizenship for students and teachers from across the country.
Air CampLead guided tours to visiting groups and enjoy interacting with guests, sharing the excitement about aerospace history, Neil Armstrong, and space flight. Or help in the museum store, assist educators, and be involved in other ways!
