Air Camp offers immersive, week-long resident camps, day camps, and teacher camps in aviation and aeronautics, designed to inspire young people to pursue STEM-related education and careers in the context of aviation.
Air Camp’s week-long resident camp is available to students entering grades 7, 8, and 9. This overnight middle school program is designed to immerse you in innovative and immersive learning modules that foster higher levels of individual confidence, curiosity, and capabilities to successfully pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education and career opportunities. All learning activities are also engineered to reinforce skills associated with leadership, scholarship, and citizenship. Students receive the unforgettable opportunity to reside in dorms at the University of Dayton campus after participating in hands-on, collaborative activities for up to fifteen hours per day.
Teachers, there is an opportunity for you too. Air Camp also provides teachers with the opportunity to bring Air Camp into their classrooms. The Teachers Air Camp program is a two-and-a-half-day event which includes engagement in fourteen immersive STEM activities over the course of seven site visits, flight ground training, piloting an aircraft, receiving class sets of supplemental materials and aligned engineering design challenges, and collaboration time for ideation sessions.
Is a week too long for you? Air Camp’s day camps for students entering grades 4, 5, and 6 expose students to the utilization of STEM principles for a variety of career fields.
